The Jimmy Fund Little League Program
mid-July to mid-August 2009

Since 1987, the hard work and winning spirit of the coaches, parents and most importantly, the players participating in the Jimmy Fund Little League Program, have raised more than $2 million for Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Jimmy Fund.
This fun, exciting program allows more than 5,000 Little League baseball and softball players from all over New England the chance to play ball after the end of their regular season by participating in a local tournament. Off the field, these young heroes take to their communities to raise vital funds for the Jimmy Fund.
Teaching children the critical importance of philanthropy and volunteerism in building a better society is a fundamental goal of the Jimmy Fund Little League Program. The act of giving arms a child with the knowledge that he or she can touch someone's life. By participating in this program, children will learn that they, too, can make a difference in the fight against cancer.
